BTRIS Application Overview

This video provides an overview of how the BTRIS application works.

Why using BTRIS is a key tool for clinical research

Dr. Yaron Rotman is a Principal Investigator at NIDDK and a BTRIs user. In the video, Dr. Rotman explains why using BTRIS is a key tool for clinical research.

How to use the BTRIS De-identified Data Application

This demo shows how to use BTRIS to select patients with particular diagnoses, laboratory data and medication information, using date restrictions. This application is available to NIH personnel only, with permission of their branch chief or Clinical Director. E-mail BTRISSupport@nih.gov for further information.

2013 BTRIS Town Hall Meeting

February 19, 2013

Dr. Jim Cimino provides an overview of the Biomedical Translational Research Information System (BTRIS). This session includes an overview of how BTRIS can help researchers manage data for active clinical trials, and demonstrate how to file automated ClinicalTrials.gov reports. A new tool using de-identified data is also introduced. For the first time, the NIH community will be able to access clinical research data from 1976 to the present across 480,000 subjects to pose hypotheses and generate new research ideas.

2011 BTRIS Town Hall Meeting

October 18, 2011

The Biomedical Translational Research Information System (BTRIS) is a resource available to the NIH intramural community that brings together clinical research data from the Clinical Center and other NIH Institutes and Centers. BTRIS provides clinical investigators with access to identifiable data for the subjects on their own active protocols, while providing all NIH investigators with access to de-identified data across all protocols. Researchers are invited to see how BTRIS can help streamline the research process and assist with mandatory reporting for IRB's and Clinical Trials.
